Tous les filetages doivent \u00eatre marqu\u00e9s sur vos dessins en 2D. Dans l'esprit des gens, plus le filetage est long, plus l'assemblage est solide. Cependant, augmenter la longueur du filetage \u00e0 1,5 fois le diam\u00e8tre fera une diff\u00e9rence au niveau de la connexion. Il est donc conseill\u00e9 de concevoir un fil d'une longueur de 1,5 \u00e0 3 fois sup\u00e9rieure au diam\u00e8tre. Les outils de coupe de plus petit diam\u00e8tre permettent souvent de r\u00e9duire le rayon, mais il n'est pas toujours possible de cr\u00e9er des angles verticaux internes en raison de la limitation du diam\u00e8tre de l'outil. La d\u00e9viation de l'outil et les vibrations augmentent lorsque les cavit\u00e9s ont un rapport profondeur\/largeur plus \u00e9lev\u00e9. Il est donc conseill\u00e9 de limiter la profondeur \u00e0 4 fois la longueur pour garantir de bons r\u00e9sultats.
